Hi Nick, trying not to sound like a fervent Mac Fanboy, but I bought the 27 inch quad core iMac with the i7 chip. Perhaps there's another post in that topic, but so far I am pretty pleased bar the WLW issue.

My next test will be Ecto but I am not hopeful given the trouble so far in finding a viable alternative.

And you're right, they all seem to be paid applications... Anyone else have suggestions?

Ah welcome to the dark side! What did you go with? iMac? I too have gone back to the Mac after my original iMac 'died' by being enticed by the latest Macbook Air which is just a work of art...

I too am trying to find a worthy Mac equiv. of WLR and will download Blogo (http://www.drinkbrainjuice.com/blogo) tonight and give it a go - from the screenshots it looks quite good? Downside again is it isn't free...

Aha, but that would spoil the fun!

There are plenty of places you can find the answer if you care to search a little, but I'll give you a clue. Multiple images, layer masks..

Thanks KF, you and my Mum are my biggest fans ;-)

The holdiay was really nice. I know that the sunshine coast probably holds disappointing memories for you and Mary, (Rain, Rain, Rain...), but we had reasonable weather and a great relaxing time. See you and NL soon!

Hey! Fantastic shots. I may not understand much about photographic technique, but from an artistic perspective they are really lovely. As you said in your comments, I really like the simplicity, the shapes and the contrast in colours. Well done, you!!
Cheers, K
PS. How was the holiday?

Hi Nick, good questions as usual.

Janine had a look in mind for the images, based on the work of photographers whom she admired. These worked well, however I have seen some work where the consistancy of the outfits is a bit too much, and looks like a uniform. I always advise peole to aim for outfits that coordinate but don't necessarily have to be exactly the same.

As for lighting, there is a mixture in here. some of the outside shots were lit with an umbrella, others were just natural light in the open shade.
